At Thomson Reuters, the global leader in providing trusted news, information, and technology to professionals, we are seeking an Account Executive for our Corporate Legal division. You will be responsible for developing and executing account plans for small to mid-sized corporate accounts in your region, driving full solution sales through prospecting and consultative engagement.
What You'll Do
- Actively seek out new business opportunities with new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline with 3-4 times coverage of your sales targets monthly and quarterly.
- Focus on companies with revenues under $500M, leading the entire sales cycle from prospecting to renewal.
- Meet or exceed your revenue targets consistently.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor solutions that address specific customer needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Accurately update salesforce.com to maintain records and provide reliable sales forecasts.
- Engage in direct client meetings, both in-person and via platforms like MS Teams.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years of direct field sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
- Proven ability to sell complex software solutions to small and medium companies (under $500M revenue) using a consultative, value-based approach.
- Experience with high velocity sales and a land-and-expand strategy.
- Experience selling to C-level executives, identifying business challenges and quantifying the impact of inaction.
- Skill in leading detailed sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for prospecting and ability to manage the entire sales cycle independently.
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic account plan.
- Ability to work from a home office and travel to customer locations.
- Candidate must reside in or near Houston, TX; New Orleans, LA; Dallas, TX; or Minneapolis, MN.
