UCB is looking for an Account Executive to represent our Rare Disease Organization in the Ann Arbor, Michigan territory. You will become an expert on your local market and build collaborative relationships with physicians and clinics to transform the lives of those living with Rare Diseases.
What You'll Do
- Consistently exceed territory sales objectives while operating with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
- Create and execute strategic business plans reflecting a thorough understanding of local market conditions.
- Master targeted disease states, including a deep understanding of patient journeys, standards of care, and treatment drivers.
- Advocate for Rare Disease patients and serve as the authority on UCB tools and resources to support healthcare providers.
- Continuously expand your expertise of all treating physicians, payers, hospital systems, pharmacies, and other care continuum components.
- Maintain strong relationships within the payer landscape to ensure providers are informed on coverage and reimbursement status.
- Foster strong relationships with patient advocacy groups and partners to support patient education and disease awareness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UCB colleagues to share insights on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Maintain a commitment to continuous improvement through feedback, courses, and on-the-job projects.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- 8+ years of field-based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals or healthcare.
- 5+ years in a competitive specialty market segment.
- Field experience with Buy-and-Bill medical benefits, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB delivery models.
- A verifiable record of sustained high sales performance and achievement in the top 30% nationally.
- Experience or involvement in successful product launches.
- Ability to maximize the impact of multichannel and digital tools and strategy/tactics with territory HCPs.
- Command of key medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts related to neurology and rare diseases.
- Experience serving a variety of call points, including academic centers, community-based care, hospitals, and private office practices.
- Comfortable spending up to 60% of your time traveling with overnight travel required, dependent on territory business needs.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years in rare or orphan drug experience in a competitive market.
- Significant CNS or neuroscience sales experience; experience with Oncology, Hematology, and/or Specialty reimbursement products requiring Specialty Pharmacy knowledge and expertise.
- Experience in supporting biologic therapy administered by a designated health care provider.
- Promotional product experience with REMS requirements.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with Sales management and leadership, Market Access, Thought Leader Liaison, and Medical teams.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual base salary range: $137,600 - $180,600.
