Voxidea is looking for a Paralegal to support U.S.-based law firms in employment-based immigration law. In this fully remote role, you will draft legal documents, submit petitions, conduct research, and manage case files, serving as a key support to our legal partners.
What You'll Do
- Draft and prepare immigration-related legal documents, including visa petitions, affidavits, appeals, and motions.
- Submit immigration petitions and applications to relevant agencies, meeting all deadlines.
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Communicate with clients in English and Spanish, addressing inquiries and providing updates.
- Maintain organized case files and accurate documentation for immigration cases.
- Prepare and review immigration forms for visas and other processes.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks related to immigration cases.
- Track visa deadlines and case progress, keeping attorneys informed.
What We're Looking For
- At least two years of experience as a legal assistant or law clerk.
- Holds a law degree (or equivalent) from your home country.
- At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a U.S. immigration law firm.
- Bilingual in English (C1 or higher) and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- Can work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with immigration-specific databases and software.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration procedures, visa types, and forms (family-based, humanitarian, and employment-based immigration).
- Permanently resides in Latin America.
- Owns a reliable laptop (Windows or Mac, 2017 or newer) with a stable internet connection.
