XL Industries seeks a hands-on IT professional to serve as the field-first tech expert for our construction teams. You will own the end-to-end tech setup and teardown at jobsites and field offices, combining technical precision with the spirit of a field operator to keep our onsite operations running smoothly and securely.

What You'll Do

• Tackle onsite IT support requests for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Set up and decommission temporary jobsite IT environments, including laptops, routers, switches, AV tools, and mobile devices.
• Partner with ISPs and vendors to establish or cleanly shut down site connectivity.
• Configure and maintain secure, stable wired and wireless networks at remote field locations.
• Support and troubleshoot construction-specific software and internal applications.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to handle upgrades, contract renewals, and deployments.
• Keep devices updated and compliant with IT and cybersecurity policies.
• Maintain clear documentation on asset inventory, jobsite setups, and configurations.
• Support imaging, inventory, and device rollout as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of IT support experience.
• 1+ year of field-based or onsite work.
• Hands-on experience with hardware and networking gear like desktops, laptops, access points, and switches.
• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Confident troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other key applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling to multiple sites.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with construction tech environments or mobile jobsite support.
• Experience with ticketing systems like HappyFox and MDM tools like Meraki.
• Certifications like A+, Network+, or MCP.
