What You'll Do
Manage and maintain local and wide area networks, including wireless infrastructure, to ensure consistent and secure connectivity across all office locations. Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to uphold network reliability and performance.
Set up and manage site-to-site and remote client VPNs using protocols such as IPSec and L2TP. Implement and monitor firewall rules and traffic shaping policies to safeguard data and prioritize critical applications. Apply Quality of Service (QoS) settings to enhance VoIP call clarity and reduce call failures.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to SIP, RTP, and WebRTC using packet analysis tools like Wireshark, particularly for recurring problems such as ghost calls. Monitor network performance through tools like PRTG, generate usage reports, and configure alerts to support capacity planning and proactive maintenance.
Perform regular system updates, firmware upgrades, and preventive maintenance on network hardware. Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configuration records. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to address incidents and ensure seamless service delivery.
Support cloud-based platforms including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Work within ticketing systems such as Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a BPO or service-oriented environment
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, routing, and switching
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki MX devices and Meraki Dashboard, as well as Ubiquiti or Unifi platforms
- Proven ability in firewall configuration, VPN deployment, and traffic shaping
- Familiarity with QoS policies for VoIP and real-time communication protocols
- Experience using PRTG and Wireshark for monitoring and diagnostics
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and service ticketing systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently
- Willingness to support off-hours shifts when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or Security+ are considered advantageous and may support career growth within the role.
Work Mode
This is a full-time remote position with flexible scheduling and on-call responsibilities. Candidates must be based in Metro Manila, Cebu City, Bacolod City, Iloilo City, Bago City, Silay City, or Talisay City to support local infrastructure needs.
