As a Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's IT systems. You'll ensure seamless operation of internal infrastructure, provide responsive technical support, and contribute to initiatives that increase efficiency across departments and job sites.
What You'll Do
You'll manage core systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services, ensuring reliable access and secure configurations. You'll support Microsoft 365 environments, enforce multi-factor authentication, and maintain device compliance through Mobile Device Management tools. Monitoring virtualization platforms, backup systems, and recovery processes will be part of your routine to ensure business continuity.
You'll work closely with leadership and field teams to identify opportunities for workflow improvements, document solutions clearly, and implement automation using PowerShell scripting. Your troubleshooting skills will help resolve technical issues quickly, minimizing downtime for users. Occasional travel to locations across the state may be required to support onsite operations.
Requirements
- IT-related degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in system administration or technical support
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and Active Directory
- Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts
- Understanding of virtualization, backup systems, and security best practices
- Basic PowerShell scripting ability
- Experience with firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs
- Strong communication skills and a user-focused approach
- Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems proactively, and follow through
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the state
