About the Role

WRI India is hiring a Programme Associate to support the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) India platform. You will provide essential operational and administrative support, helping to implement activities and coordinate with a diverse coalition of partners.

What You'll Do

  • Support programme staff in organizing and conducting meetings, conferences, and other events, whether online or in person.
  • Prepare and monitor invoices and submit and reconcile expense reports.
  • Develop and maintain a document archiving and filing system.
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures.
  • Maintain contact lists of relevant stakeholders.
  • Extend documentation and data entry support to the FOLU India Project Management Unit (PMU) whenever required.
  • Support the FOLU India Country Coordinator and FOLU India Project Management Unit (PMU) in implementing FOLU India activities.
  • Facilitate engagement with partners and stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
  • Support research-driven communication.
  • Support overall programme development and strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in a related field, preferably management background.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office – Office 365.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable with interdisciplinary, inter-programmatic, and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Willingness to travel within the country, including in remote areas with difficult terrain, when it is safe to do so.

Nice to Have

  • Graduate degree in environmental science, natural resource management, or development studies with at least 2 or more years of work experience in an operations and management role in development sector.
  • Graduate degree in business administration with work experience in environment, agriculture or related areas.

Team & Environment

You will report to the FOLU India Country Coordinator and support the FOLU India Project Management Unit (PMU). You will be part of a coalition that includes the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), Revitalizing Rainfed Agriculture Network (RRAN), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and WRI India.
