Toast is hiring a Workforce Management Scheduling Analyst Lead

About the Role

This role leads the development and execution of workforce management scheduling strategies, supporting operational efficiency and service delivery through data-driven planning and team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of workforce scheduling models
  • Analyze historical data to forecast staffing requirements accurately
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to align schedules with business needs
  • Monitor schedule adherence and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain detailed workforce plans across multiple locations
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies
  • Train and mentor junior analysts on scheduling best practices
  • Optimize shift patterns to balance coverage and cost efficiency
  • Produce regular reporting on scheduling performance and utilization metrics
  • Identify trends in workforce demand and recommend strategic adjustments
  • Support the integration of scheduling systems with HR and payroll platforms
  • Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and resolve operational disruptions
  • Maintain accurate records of workforce planning assumptions and outputs
  • Partner with human resources to support staffing initiatives
  • Lead on-call support for critical scheduling issues during peak periods
  • Evaluate the impact of new business initiatives on workforce needs
  • Standardize scheduling processes across departments and locations
  • Utilize data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and schedule reliability
  • Coordinate with IT teams to enhance workforce management software capabilities

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in operations research, analytics, or business administration
  • Certification in workforce management or project management
  • Experience in the hospitality or restaurant technology sector
  • Familiarity with cloud-based scheduling platforms
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies in operations planning
