Sedgwick is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to join our team. In this remote role, you will analyze claims on behalf of our clients to determine benefits due, ensuring ongoing adjudication within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.
- Investigate and gather information to determine the exposure on the claim.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within your designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
- Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests of directions in a professional and timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Jurisdiction knowledge in PA, WV, MD, VA, DC, TN, SC, NC.
- Required licensing.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
