At West Virginia University Health System, we are seeking a Workday Systems Analyst specializing in Absence and Timetracking to join our team. This role is available at Associate, Mid, and Senior levels. You will independently support the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Workday systems to meet organizational needs, ensuring functionality aligns with our operational goals.

What You'll Do

Diagnose and resolve IT issues through daily troubleshooting to maintain and optimize system functionality.
Execute system modifications, implementation, and testing for basic workflows.
Perform functional and integrated testing to verify and optimize system performance.
Perform system error corrections and optimizations to maintain smooth operations.
Manage user security to uphold data integrity and optimize access control.
Stay current with industry trends and optimization techniques.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization.
Manage data import/export and generate basic reports.
Collaborate effectively and proactively communicate with team members and business partners.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, coordination, and communication.
Maintain detailed project documentation, manage risks, and resolve issues.
Provide end-user support and training through classroom, one-on-one, and remediation sessions.
Assess user readiness and abilities to ensure proper system use.
Contribute to curriculum development for training materials.
Commit to continuous learning and knowledge development through industry resources and training.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered.

Nice to Have

Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience.
Operational experience in applicable business, clinical, payer, or web application systems, including workflows.
Proficiency in systems administration and providing strategic insights to improve business operations.
Experience working in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, with a focus on improving patient care processes.
Understanding of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
Knowledge in Cloud-based healthcare applications and web services.
Knowledge of reporting tools for delivering actionable insights and enhancing decision-making.
