Join as a self-employed Mortgage and Protection Adviser based in York or nearby, with the freedom to work remotely and manage your schedule flexibly. While remote work is fully supported, the ability to commute into York occasionally for in-person meetings is beneficial.
Role Overview
You’ll take ownership of your pipeline by following up on leads and actively sourcing new ones through available channels. Your focus will be on understanding each client’s unique financial situation, assessing affordability responsibly, and recommending appropriate mortgage and protection solutions in line with regulatory standards.
Success in this role means consistently meeting individual performance targets while contributing to broader team outcomes. You’ll maintain accurate forecasts, track conversion progress, and continuously refine your approach to improve results over time.
What You’ll Need
- Hold a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in mortgage brokerage or financial services sales
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding personal targets
- Strong grasp of mortgage products, market trends, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and handle objections
- Self-driven mindset with a commitment to responsible lending and customer satisfaction
- Legal right to live and work in the UK
