Responsibilities

  • Build custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks in WordPress using industry best practices
  • Design and manage scalable backend systems with PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, and current coding standards
  • Create and maintain advanced WordPress features such as custom post types, taxonomies, user permissions, and content management workflows
  • Adhere to WordPress VIP guidelines for code quality, security, and system architecture
  • Enhance performance, scalability, and stability of WordPress applications through caching, CDNs, and server-level tuning
  • Produce clean, secure, and thoroughly tested code; conduct code reviews and modernize outdated implementations
  • Work closely with DevOps on continuous integration and deployment pipelines, release processes, and performance evaluations
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving APIs, performance bottlenecks, security flaws, and hosting environments
  • Engage in system architecture planning, technical roadmap sessions, and agile development rituals
  • Guide junior engineers and help shape engineering standards and technical documentation

  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to APIs, performance, security, and hosting infrastructure
  • Participate in architecture design, technical planning, and sprint ceremonies
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices and documentation
