TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods is hiring a Wireless Core Cloud Developer to join the Cloud Control Plane (CCP) team. You will design, develop, maintain, and support the first cloud-native-from-scratch Wireless Core Network Control Plane. Your work will leverage data and systems to create solutions that improve connectivity and modernize existing codebases.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with experts focused on shared goals to evolve designs, implementations, and processes.
- Maximize system availability and minimize maintenance through continuous improvement.
- Modernize and improve existing or legacy codebases to meet new requirements and better KPIs.
- Provide on-call support, including potential middle-of-the-night issue resolution.
- Support the development of new telecom products from concept to launch.
- Break down complex architectural problems into smaller, sequential prompts for AI execution.
What We're Looking For
- Experience using AI tools to navigate large codebases, perform safe migrations, refactor legacy logic, and develop new features.
- Proficiency with NodeJS and asynchronous programming.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SES, SQS, AWS CLI, SDK, Step Functions, VPC, Code Commit, Code Build, Code Pipeline, and S3 applied to Cellular Core Network Functions and eSIMs.
- Willingness to coach, lead, support, and help other team members succeed.
- A strong bias toward CI/CD, secure design, and reliable systems.
- Ability to participate in daily meetings, providing insightful feedback, guidance, and perspective.
- Self-starter and self-motivated working style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
