Responsibilities
- Interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical schematics to carry out assigned tasks accurately
- Carry out MIG, TIG, and stick welding methods according to project and maintenance requirements
- Install welds in the field for components such as ducts, piping, and structural steel
- Create custom metal parts, components, and equipment needed for plant operations
- Fix machinery, equipment, and structural elements to reduce operational downtime
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks throughout the facility
- Work with maintenance and engineering staff to identify and fix equipment problems
- Follow all safety policies and procedures during work activities
- Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S and safety standards
