About the Role

Kanopi Studios is hiring a Website Project Manager to lead our client-facing WordPress projects. In this role, you will be the strategic partner and advocate for our clients, managing the systems, workflows, and communications from kickoff through completion. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team of UX/UI designers, developers, and strategists to deliver exceptional results.

What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple WordPress build and support projects of varying complexity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Understand client business needs and communicate them to the internal team.
  • Lead client communications with clarity and empathy, facilitating meetings and translating technical concepts.
  • Foster positive, long-lasting client relationships to encourage renewals and upsells.
  • Facilitate project and client onboarding, kickoff calls, and transitions between build and support.
  • Curate and maintain organized, prioritized backlogs for project teams.
  • Evaluate tasks and client requests for strategic fit, flagging alternatives when needed.
  • Handle 'quick win' WordPress site configurations and content entry prior to escalating to developers.
  • Coordinate and track internal resources (developers, UX/UI designers, strategists) based on timing, scope, and expertise.
  • Review deliverables for quality and alignment before client handoff.
  • Monitor budgets and timelines, providing regular updates on hours used and project progress.
  • Flag risks early and collaborate to resolve and mitigate issues.
  • Expedite urgent requests and help triage issues quickly, particularly within support accounts.
  • Use tools like Teamwork, Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom to stay organized.
  • Participate in team meetings, standups, retrospectives, and collaborative discussions.
  • Monitor team workloads and pacing to maintain a sustainable, healthy balance.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of digital agency project management experience.
  • Experience leading WordPress projects.
  • Ability to manage the full life cycle of a web build project and long-term client support engagements.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows, ticketing systems, and client documentation.
  • Awareness of best practices in website performance, configuration, and development fundamentals.
  • Ability to balance scope, timelines, and budgets without compromising quality or team morale.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Skill in resourcing development project needs and matching the right roles to requirements.
  • Ability to set clear priorities, communicate shifts effectively, and keep teams and clients in sync.
  • Proactive, empathetic, and confident communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset for delivery, risk mitigation, issue tracking, and change management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and initiative.
  • Located in and available to work during core Pacific Time Zone hours.
  • Must live and be able to work in the US or Canada.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $58,000 – $77,225

Work Mode

This is a remote position for candidates based in the US or Canada. You must be available to work during core Pacific Time Zone hours.
