This role supports warehouse and distribution operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Houston, TX, ensuring materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately and in compliance with quality standards. The position operates on a fixed schedule: Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday, from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receiving and outbound shipping activities, including verifying quantities, weights, and documentation using RF scanners, forklifts, and computer systems
- Ensure proper storage and movement of materials while maintaining GxP compliance and workplace safety
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate inventory variances using root cause analysis to uphold data integrity
- Prepare shipments according to specifications, including packing, labeling, and generating bills of lading
- Support warehouse organization and cleanliness through 6S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, and hand trucks (certifications provided if needed)
- Assist in training team members and lead operations during assigned shifts when required
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. This is an onsite role with no remote option.
Prior experience in a distribution center, familiarity with SAP, and attention to detail are preferred. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working at heights up to 25 feet.
