What You'll Do
Handle the receipt and dispatch of liquid and dry chemical materials, moving goods between trucks, railcars, and storage units using industrial equipment. Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, access top hatches on tanks and railcars, and monitor loading operations from elevated positions. Verify shipments against documentation, report discrepancies, and ensure proper labeling and storage in compliance with regulatory standards.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum pickers to transport materials, maintaining daily equipment checklists and safely moving raw and finished products within the facility. Repackage chemicals into drums, totes, pails, or cylinders, and place them in designated storage areas. Use electronic scales and process devices to measure and track inventory, entering data into computer systems with precision.
Support quality control by collecting samples in coordination with lab staff. Maintain organized storage racks, rotate stock, and inspect stored materials for damage or deterioration. Assist in physical inventory counts and keep warehouse areas clean, unobstructed, and safe. Respond immediately to spills, following established procedures for containment and cleanup.
