Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse functions, including receiving, internal logistics, and returns, to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and yard operations.
- Enhance performance using KPIs, focusing on speed and data-driven decisions for the team.
- Mentor, motivate, and develop a team of supervisors and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of responsibility and ongoing improvement.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, with no shortcuts or bypassed procedures, to guarantee the well-being of all team members.
- Manage Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes and promote accurate, reliable data for operational decisions.
- Provide weekly reports to site leadership on efficiency, volume, and staffing, and collaborate with international teams to share best practices.
- Lead strategic initiatives, including site transitions, WMS implementations, and operational redesigns.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale warehouse or logistics operations, with a proven track record of handling high volumes.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage teams, set high standards, and engage in open conversations.
- Hands-on experience with a Warehouse Management System, understanding its capabilities and limitations.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to quickly identify patterns and translate insights into actions.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, with strong communication skills to lead diverse teams and collaborate with international stakeholders.
