Culina Group is hiring a Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of shift managers to optimize daily warehouse output, accuracy, and organization, adjusting staffing as needed to meet fluctuating demand.
  • Supervise all warehouse activities to meet service level agreements and key performance indicators while maintaining cost efficiency within budget.
  • Collaborate with site teams and external counterparts to resolve operational disruptions promptly and sustain service quality, escalating issues when required.
  • Monitor workforce productivity in alignment with labor cost budgets to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure completion of daily handover summaries and warehouse performance reports.
  • Generate, evaluate, and report on daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial metrics, recommending enhancements where applicable.
  • Identify, advocate for, and execute continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse functions.
  • Manage warehouse environmental conditions and employee amenities including restrooms and breakroom services.
  • Oversee material handling equipment (MHE) maintenance to ensure operational readiness and minimal downtime.
  • Lead or support future MHE procurement processes during contract renewals.
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety protocols for all personnel, including visitors, and investigate any violations to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain full compliance with food safety, legal, quality, and system requirements.
  • Partner with health and safety specialists and trainers to assess and correct safety risks and non-compliances.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of HR procedures related to discipline, grievances, and performance management in line with company policy.
  • Support effective recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of warehouse staff through shift managers, team leaders, and trainers, promoting multi-skilling to enhance workforce adaptability.
  • Oversee training programs and documentation for safe operation of MHE across all staff levels.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align operations with business and customer needs.
  • Ensure adherence to BRC standards and internal quality benchmarks across warehouse activities.
  • Drive overall warehouse performance against internal KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Optimize the efficient use of labor, equipment, and other resources.
  • Manage operational budgets and control costs effectively.
  • Foster high levels of customer service and employee engagement.
  • Provide temporary operational coverage at alternate locations as needed.
  • Travel periodically to the Lutterworth site to collaborate on shared challenges and operational alignment.
