Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and support warehouse staff through direct supervision of shift managers and team leaders.
- Coordinate diverse operational resources to meet fluctuating daily demands on a strict schedule.
- Allocate personnel and equipment efficiently to maintain service standards within financial constraints.
- Oversee all aspects of health and safety compliance across warehouse operations.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring successful execution.
- Maintain and manage site infrastructure and facility conditions.
- Recruit and onboard temporary and permanent warehouse operatives in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external audit requirements through effective process management.
- Monitor and control labor-related expenses by department, including agency staffing costs.
- Conduct daily inspections of the warehouse with shift supervisors, documenting cleanliness and organization.
- Coordinate with shift supervisors, equipment trainers, and compliance leads to address training needs.
- Supervise and track temperature conditions in refrigerated storage areas to ensure product integrity.
- Foster a workplace culture focused on ongoing operational enhancements.
- Guarantee compliance with food safety, legal, quality, and system requirements at the facility.

- Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
- Daily touring of warehouse with shift manager
- Management of temperature control in refrigerated warehouses
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external audits
- Recruiting agency and permanent operatives
- Liaising with MHE Trainers and Compliance Manager on training requirements
