Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior-level client lead, offering strategic guidance and trusted counsel on communications initiatives
  • Manage multiple client accounts with accountability for meeting revenue goals and maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Design and supervise tailored public relations and corporate communications strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions
  • Lead integrated communications programs around pivotal events such as clinical data releases, regulatory milestones, and corporate updates
  • Utilize in-depth understanding of biotech and life sciences media to secure coverage in top-tier, trade, and business outlets
  • Oversee the creation and review of communications content to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and adherence to brand tone and standards
  • Advise clients on high-impact issues including reputation strategy, executive visibility, thought leadership, and corporate narrative
  • Identify potential challenges early and resolve issues to maintain strong client relationships and retention
  • Leverage established connections across biotech, healthcare, and business media to enhance client visibility
  • Lead teams in transforming complex scientific information into accessible and persuasive narratives
  • Counsel clients on strategic positioning within a dynamic and competitive biotechnology sector
  • Monitor industry, media, and stakeholder trends to shape forward-looking communications strategies
  • Support teams in building media-focused, market-driven strategies and actionable plans
  • Expand existing client engagements by identifying new service opportunities, upsell potential, and broader project scope
  • Lead or co-lead business development activities, including strategy formulation, pitch management, and client presentations
  • Create strategies grounded in insights and data that clearly demonstrate business value and measurable outcomes
  • Deliver compelling presentations of capabilities, case examples, and proposals to prospective clients
  • Manage the financial performance of assigned accounts, including budget planning, forecasting, staffing coordination, and scope oversight
  • Ensure project delivery adheres to financial agreements and recommend adjustments to scope when needed
  • Work closely with Finance and leadership to align revenue forecasts and team utilization
  • Review and approve time tracking records and educate teams on financial accountability and best practices
  • Lead, coach, and develop multi-level teams, promoting growth, ownership, and strategic problem-solving
  • Supervise direct reports with regular performance evaluations, career planning, and goal setting
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in public and investor relations to ensure cohesive cross-functional delivery
