Clever Real Estate seeks a VP of Business Development to drive growth for our B2B2C channel, Clever Pro. You will lead our outbound strategy to forge partnerships with mortgage lenders, banks, and other financial institutions, directly impacting our expansion.
What You'll Do
- Own and execute Clever’s outbound strategy for partnerships and enterprise sales.
- Build and lead a high-performing business development team.
- Identify, pitch, and close new strategic partnerships that drive revenue and customer growth.
- Expand distribution across new channels and verticals, including mortgage, title, investment, and financial services.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to launch new offerings and maximize monetization.
- Represent Clever externally with partners, executive teams, and industry groups.
- Analyze performance data to refine strategy and scale what works.
- Support closing efforts on in-flight deals alongside the CEO.
- Build a personal pipeline with 10+ active conversations.
- Progress at least 2 deals into late-stage approval or procurement.
- Increase engagement with our largest account (U.S. Bank).
- Own and manage 15–30 enterprise prospects.
- Close deals that drive 50+ transactions/month.
- Become a go-to expert for Clever’s B2B2C sales motion.
- Help build repeatable systems for tracking, reporting, and optimizing deal flow.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales.
- Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Track record of closing complex deals and scaling new business lines.
- Experience building and managing teams.
- Strong executive presence and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with a bias toward action and outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience ideally in proptech, fintech, or marketplaces.

- Compensation: $160,000-$250,000 based on experience.
