Thomson Reuters is hiring a VP of Brand and Events, an executive leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. You will oversee a team of 30+ brand and events professionals and be responsible for developing strategies to elevate our key brands, lead major global events and sponsorships, and manage brand assets worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Develop strategies to advance brand value through key marketing and communications programs that positively impact sales and retention.
- Lead adoption of AI-powered brand analytics and marketing automation platforms to optimize performance.
- Develop purpose-driven brand narratives aligned with corporate goals and initiatives.
- Establish guidelines and standards for brand, trademark, and trade dress usage, monitoring compliance across the organization.
- Partner with Customer Experience teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Develop measurement strategies for brand attributes including awareness, familiarity, consideration, and preference relative to competitors.
- Generate awareness through strategic marketing campaigns across paid and owned media channels.
- Identify and manage key enterprise sponsorships that elevate brand recognition and awareness.
- Lead events and tradeshow strategy, communications platforms, and event management for both face-to-face and virtual events.
- Drive hybrid event strategies and immersive digital experiences to maximize engagement and ROI.
- Execute crisis communications and brand reputation management strategies when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level marketing professional with a strategic, business-focused mindset and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in product brand management within professional services or SaaS environments.
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for B2B professional services.
- Strong measurement and analytics experience, including marketing attribution and ROI modeling.
- Proven track record managing high-profile brands using integrated marketing approaches.
- Global brand portfolio management experience, not just single brands.
- Demonstrated success in global marketing and virtual environments.
- Crisis communications and brand reputation management experience.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, project management, and team leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree required, marketing or business-related degrees preferred.
- 15+ years of related marketing experience including 10+ years management experience in brand management.
- Experience leading brand teams in the technology sector and with customer events.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree preferred (JD, MBA, or technical).
- Experience building and scaling marketing teams in rapid-growth environments.
