Lead regional growth and strategic expansion for a global fintech organization in North Asia. As Vice President of Business Development, you will shape and execute market entry strategies, build a robust network of partnerships, and ensure operational readiness across the region. Your leadership will be central to scaling a compliant, metrics-driven business within the evolving blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape.
Strategic Leadership & Market Development
Define and drive the regional go-to-market vision, identifying high-impact opportunities for ecosystem expansion. You will localize engagement models, align with global objectives, and ensure Circle’s presence is both effective and sustainable in North Asia’s dynamic markets.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
Take ownership of interactions with regulators, policymakers, and legal advisors. You will proactively navigate complex compliance environments, advocate for responsible innovation, and maintain alignment with local financial regulations. Building trust with government and industry bodies will be a core component of long-term success.
Partnership & Pipeline Execution
Develop and manage a high-velocity partnership pipeline. This includes identifying, qualifying, and closing strategic deals, as well as ensuring partners are integrated for long-term success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centric outcomes.
Team Development & Operational Excellence
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team. Set clear OKRs, oversee forecasting, and drive disciplined execution. Your role will emphasize data-driven decision-making, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the regional business.
Qualifications
- 14+ years in fintech or technology, with a focus on partnerships and market development
- 8+ years leading and developing high-performing teams
- Experience as a responsible officer at a regulated financial institution in North Asia or a Tier 1 jurisdiction
- Proven track record engaging regulators and shaping compliant market entry strategies
- Senior leadership experience with strong cross-functional execution skills
- Business fluency in Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus
- Strong understanding of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies
- Excellent pipeline and revenue forecasting capabilities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across the Asia region
