Supporting meaningful returns to work
This role focuses on guiding ill and injured members of the Canadian Armed Forces through their recovery and transition into sustainable employment. Working remotely from a home office with regional travel across Alberta, you will design and manage individualized rehabilitation plans that align with medical guidance, client goals, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, track, and adjust vocational rehabilitation strategies tailored to each plan member’s abilities and goals
- Facilitate smooth transitions for CAF members returning to work or preparing for civilian employment after release
- Collaborate with clients, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to identify practical, innovative solutions
- Manage assigned budgets with accuracy and accountability
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with plan members, policy holders, and medical teams, including delivering complex or sensitive updates
- Ensure rehabilitation supports are timely, effective, and aligned with disability management standards
Qualifications and Experience
You bring a solid foundation in vocational rehabilitation, with at least five years of relevant experience or active involvement in rehabilitation services. A university degree in a related field—especially in Health Sciences with a focus on Psychology, Counseling, or Nursing—is required.
- Strong understanding of disability insurance, medical terminology, and rehabilitation frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Proven ability to manage budgets and complex caseloads in a professional setting
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for regional travel
Preferred Attributes
- Bilingual English and French communication skills
- Prior military experience or familiarity with military culture
- Accreditation in rehabilitation or related disciplines
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity for independent decision-making
- Skilled in conflict resolution and identifying mutually beneficial outcomes
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities
- Demonstrated creativity in addressing rehabilitation challenges

Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $52,650.00 to $87,750.00 CAD, depending on experience. Additional compensation includes incentive opportunities and participation in a global share ownership plan with employer matching contributions.
