Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor and primary point of contact for assigned courses
- Consistently strive to achieve targets in student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic standards
- Conduct live, interactive lessons online tailored to student needs and grounded in proven teaching strategies
- Set up and configure each course within the digital learning platform
- Supervise student progress in self-paced courses and provide daily grading and feedback
- Maintain consistent communication and tracking for every enrolled student
- Work with school leadership to prepare and distribute student progress updates
- Regularly analyze individual student data to guide changes in teaching approaches
- Adapt instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Apply evidence-based teaching techniques in both live and independent learning settings
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere
- Embed culturally responsive practices in daily instruction and interactions with students, families, and staff
- Uphold established behavioral and cultural expectations within and outside the classroom
- Maintain regular contact with families about academic progress and emotional development
- Integrate modern technology skills into daily teaching and team collaboration
- Assist in organizing and attending in-person school events such as field trips and social gatherings
- Communicate and collaborate professionally, respectfully, and cooperatively with fellow educators
- Travel annually to designated locations to supervise state-required in-person assessments
- Complete additional tasks as needed by the school or administration
