Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor and primary educator across core subjects and grade levels
- Consistently strive to achieve targets in student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic standards
- Conduct live, interactive online lessons tailored to student needs using proven teaching methods
- Set up and organize all course materials within the digital learning platform
- Monitor student activity in self-paced courses and provide daily grading and feedback
- Maintain consistent contact and communication with each enrolled student
- Work with school leadership to prepare and distribute student progress reports
- Regularly analyze individual student data to guide instructional decisions
- Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Apply evidence-based practices in both live and independent learning settings
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere
- Incorporate culturally relevant approaches in teaching and interactions with students and families
- Uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations within and outside the classroom
- Engage families with regular updates on academic and personal development
- Integrate modern technology skills into daily instruction and team collaboration
- Support the planning and attendance of in-person enrichment activities such as field trips and social events
- Work cooperatively, respectfully, and professionally with fellow educators
- Travel annually to designated locations for state-mandated assessments
- Complete additional tasks as needed by school administration
