Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor responsible for teaching all core subjects across assigned grade levels
- Consistently strive to achieve targets in academic performance, student culture, and state-mandated accountability standards
- Conduct effective live online lessons tailored to student needs and grounded in proven teaching methods
- Set up and organize each course within the digital learning platform
- Monitor student activity in self-paced courses and provide daily feedback and grading
- Maintain regular contact and track engagement for every enrolled student
- Work with school leadership to develop and issue student progress reports
- Regularly analyze individual student data to guide changes in teaching strategies
- Adapt instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Apply evidence-based instructional techniques in both live and independent learning environments
- Foster a positive, supportive, and nurturing virtual classroom atmosphere
- Embed culturally responsive practices in daily instruction and interactions with students, families, and staff
- Uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations within and outside the classroom
- Maintain consistent communication with families about each student’s academic and emotional development
- Integrate modern technology skills into daily instruction and collaborative team activities
- Take part in planning and attending non-academic activities such as social gatherings and field trips
- Work cooperatively, respectfully, and humbly with fellow educators and staff members
- Travel annually to support in-person state assessment administration
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership
Work Arrangement
Virtual with required in-person commitments
Other
- Travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events
- Position is virtual but requires in-person attendance for state testing and events
