About the Role
This role involves delivering executive-level cybersecurity leadership to clients on a part-time or as-needed basis, managing risk frameworks, incident response planning, and security governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies
- Evaluate and enhance existing security policies and compliance frameworks
- Conduct regular risk assessments and advise on mitigation tactics
- Oversee incident response planning and coordinate breach remediation efforts
- Guide clients through regulatory audits and certification processes
- Develop security awareness training programs for client personnel
- Monitor evolving threats and recommend proactive defense measures
- Advise on secure architecture design and technology selection
- Manage third-party risk assessment procedures
- Ensure alignment of security initiatives with business objectives
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Track key security performance indicators and report on metrics
- Promote a culture of security across client organizations
- Assist in the selection and deployment of security tools and platforms
- Review and approve security controls for cloud environments
- Provide guidance during digital transformation projects
- Lead tabletop exercises and simulation drills
- Maintain documentation of security policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS
