Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor and primary educator for Agriculture CTE programs
- Deliver course content in alignment with Ohio's Agriculture & Environmental Systems Career Field standards
- Design and execute standards-driven lessons that include project-based learning and practical applications
- Prepare learners for recognized industry certifications in the agricultural sector
- Facilitate and incorporate work-based learning opportunities such as career exploration, supervised agricultural experiences, and employer partnerships
- Establish, guide, and manage an active FFA chapter, including leadership growth and event participation where applicable
- Ensure curriculum and teaching practices align with WebXam end-of-course assessment requirements
- Adapt instruction to support diverse learners, including those needing academic or career readiness assistance
- Track and support student advancement toward graduation and career readiness goals
- Keep accurate records of grades, attendance, academic progress, and required CTE documentation
- Work with school leadership, CTE coordinators, and support staff to uphold program quality and regulatory compliance
- Build and sustain partnerships with local industry representatives, community groups, and higher education institutions
- Foster a respectful, secure, and motivating learning environment that encourages student development and professional behavior
- Maintain regular communication with students, families, and stakeholders about academic performance and opportunities
- Attend mandatory meetings, professional development sessions, and school-related events
- Support efforts to attract, retain, and engage students in CTE programs
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by administration
