Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor and primary point of contact for assigned courses
- Consistently strive to achieve targets for student performance and school culture, including state-mandated academic standards
- Conduct high-quality live online lessons tailored to student needs and grounded in proven teaching methods
- Set up and organize all course materials within the digital learning platform
- Supervise student progress in self-paced courses and provide daily grading and feedback
- Maintain regular communication with each enrolled student
- Work with school leadership to prepare and distribute student progress updates
- Analyze individual student data regularly to guide changes in teaching strategies
- Adapt instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Apply evidence-based instructional techniques in both live and self-paced learning environments
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere
- Incorporate culturally relevant practices in all lessons and communications with students, families, and staff
- Uphold school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations within and outside the classroom
- Engage families through consistent updates on academic and personal development
- Integrate modern technology skills into daily instruction and collaborative team activities
- Support the design and execution of non-academic events such as field trips and social gatherings, attending in person when required
- Travel annually to designated locations to proctor state-mandated assessments
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed by school administration
