Responsibilities
- Act as the official instructor responsible for all core subjects and grade-level instruction
- Consistently strive to achieve targets for student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic standards
- Conduct high-impact live online lessons tailored to student needs using evidence-based teaching methods
- Set up and organize all courses within the Learning Management System
- Monitor student progress in self-paced courses and provide daily feedback and grading
- Maintain consistent tracking and communication with each enrolled student
- Work with the school principal to develop and distribute student progress reports
- Regularly analyze individual student data to guide changes in instructional strategies
- Adapt teaching methods to address diverse learning needs and abilities
- Apply research-supported instructional techniques in both live and self-paced learning environments
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Incorporate culturally responsive practices in daily instruction and interactions with students, families, and staff
- Enforce school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations within and outside the virtual classroom
- Maintain regular contact with families to discuss academic and emotional development
- Integrate modern technology skills into daily teaching and team collaboration
- Assist in organizing and attending in-person non-academic events such as field trips and social gatherings
- Communicate and collaborate professionally, respectfully, and with humility among colleagues
- Travel annually to support in-person state-mandated assessments
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership

About You
- Valid Ohio teaching license in the relevant subject area
- Familiarity with State and Common Core academic standards
- Preference given to candidates with at least two years of teaching experience
- Comfortable in a coaching-driven environment with frequent observations, feedback sessions, and progress tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion
- Able to stand continuously for up to 90 minutes
- Able to supervise students across all school environments
- Must pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience in multicultural educational settings is preferred

- Periodic travel and in-person attendance required for state testing and student events
