Role Overview
As a key member of the onboard guest services team, you will deliver consistent, high-quality front-desk support, ensuring every guest receives personalized attention from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities span guest registration, account management, and seamless coordination of shore excursions, all aligned with strict service and public health standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-in and registration processes, including passport collection and documentation handling
- Support immigration procedures in coordination with the Pursers Department
- Maintain accurate cash handling records, process payments, and register credit cards securely
- Assist guests with inquiries about onboard accounts and daily services
- Coordinate the dispatch and logistics of shore excursions, including audio equipment setup
- Escorting tours periodically to evaluate quality and guest experience
- Provide booking support for restaurants, golf, and other off-ship activities
- Ensure guest materials—including daily programs, maps, and booking forms—are consistently available
- Act as a primary point of contact for private excursion arrangements
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, applying sound judgment under pressure
- Collaborate with other departments to align services with guest flow and operational needs
- Support efficient disembarkation, including online check-in assistance and transfer coordination when required
- Uphold a polished, professional appearance and adhere to hygiene and grooming policies at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum one year in a front-of-house role within a five-star hotel or luxury hospitality setting
- Fluent English communication, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to manage guest interactions with discretion and empathy
- Proven capacity to work independently and adapt to high-pressure situations
- Strong commitment to service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Impeccable personal presentation and hygiene standards
- Thorough understanding of public health protocols and compliance requirements
- No visible tattoos while in uniform
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience working onboard vessels
- Proficiency in an additional language
- Administrative aptitude with experience in databases, spreadsheets, and document processing
- Background in cash handling and foreign currency transactions
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
