Role Overview
As a Video Codec Standard Research Expert, you will lead advanced research in next-generation video compression technologies, with a focus on emerging standards such as H266. This position plays a central role in advancing technical innovation, developing intellectual property, and influencing the future of video codec standards on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical research initiatives for advanced video codecs, producing detailed research findings and filing international PCT patents.
- Develop and submit technical proposals for international standardization bodies, actively participating in standardization meetings to advocate for innovative solutions.
- Guide and manage a specialized research team, defining strategic direction, setting objectives, and overseeing technical outputs and project milestones.
- Collaborate closely with research groups in Poland and Shenzhen to align research efforts, share insights, and drive unified advancements in codec technology.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work model, combining on-site and remote flexibility. You will be embedded in a global research network, working across time zones and technical domains to push the boundaries of video compression efficiency and performance.
