About the Role

The Victim Care Coordinator will support victims of crime across Greater Manchester, serving as the primary point of contact for individuals referred by Greater Manchester Police. At Catch22, we are committed to delivering person-centred support that empowers individuals and strengthens communities.

What You'll Do

  • Provide effective interventions to support victims of crime, either over the phone or in-person
  • Manage a caseload of service users with varying needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the victim’s journey
  • Conduct initial contact and assessment of individual needs
  • Tailor support plans to meet assessed needs
  • Provide direct emotional or practical support as needed
  • Signpost to external services and provide advocacy on behalf of victims
  • Report caseload data to leadership
  • Ensure accurate data collection and recording
  • Perform other administrative duties as required
  • Represent Catch22 at engagement events and local community centres
  • Liaise with other organisations to enhance service delivery
  • Act as the team's lead in one specialist area
  • Ensure services and interventions in the specialist area remain current
  • Build relationships and expertise in the designated specialism
  • Position Catch22 as a leader in the sector within the specialist area

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to manage a caseload of referrals from Greater Manchester Police
  • Experience providing support to victims of crime
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with victims and partners
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and develop tailored support plans
  • Experience in delivering emotional or practical support
  • Skills in signposting and advocacy with external partners
  • Accuracy in data collection, recording, and reporting
  • Administrative competence
  • Experience representing an organisation in community and partnership settings
  • Willingness to become a specialist lead in one of the listed areas

Nice to Have

  • Specialist knowledge or experience in one of the following: Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, FGM, Children and Young People, Gangs and Knife Crime, Modern Day Slavery, Hate Crimes, Equality Diversity and Inclusion, Fraud, Radicalisation
