About the Role

Prudential is hiring a Vice President, Solution Architecture Engineer to lead the transformation of our Group Insurance Technology landscape. You will drive innovation with a focus on Data, Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence, partnering with leadership to deliver advanced data-driven solutions that enhance core capabilities. Your work will architect scalable, secure, and intelligent systems leveraging modern cloud platforms, data architectures, and AI-powered automation.

What You'll Do

  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership for Group Insurance’s Technology Modernization, focusing on data strategy, architecture, and AI adoption.
  • Architect and design enterprise data platforms, integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation to enable actionable insights.
  • Lead the development and implementation of modern, cloud-native architectures supporting scalable data pipelines and AI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to define and prioritize enablers for data and AI innovation.
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies in data engineering, AI/ML, and automation, providing technical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and governance in all data and AI initiatives, mitigating risks and driving transition to modern architectures.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of innovative principles in data science, AI, and architecture, and communicate complex solutions in business terms.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, and AI/ML solution design.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), API development, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, DevSecOps, and test-driven development.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions.
  • Excellent executive presence, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with domain-driven design, data governance, and secure application development.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Data Strategy, Governance and Responsible AI.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Domain Driven architectures.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with API development and management.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Cloud engineering and automation.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with DevSecOps.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Applications development.

Nice to Have

  • User-centered design experience.
  • A scalability mindset.
  • Insurance industry experience is a must.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $221,900.00 to $333,000.00.
  • Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
