Fehr Graham (a Trilon Group company) was looking for a Vice President of Structural Engineering

Fehr Graham, part of the Artheon engineering platform, seeks a Vice President of Structural Engineering to lead and grow our high-impact practice focused on bridge and transportation-related projects. You will play a key role in shaping and expanding our transportation structures practice, overseeing complex projects while driving strategic growth and mentoring a team of engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical oversight and quality control for transportation structural projects, including highway and railroad bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and structural rehabilitation.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on complex structural projects, overseeing delivery from concept through final design and construction support.
  • Ensure compliance with AASHTO, NJDOT, NJTA, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Lead the strategic growth and direction of the Structural Engineering Department.
  • Support business development through client relationship management, proposal development, and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on firm-wide planning and growth initiatives.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and designers.
  • Oversee staffing, workload planning, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation structural engineering.
  • Extensive experience with NJDOT, NJTA, and/or other major transportation agencies.
  • Strong background in bridge design, rehabilitation, and structural analysis.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
