SanMar is hiring a Vice President of Solutions Consulting to serve as a strategic thought leader and subject matter expert. You will leverage deep industry knowledge to deliver tailored solutions to clients, resulting in high win rates and long-term satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a key deal strategist, collaborating with Sales, Client Success, and Consultant Relations to analyze client needs, propose best-fit solutions, and execute tailored growth and retention plans.
- Act as the resident expert on product offerings, savings projections, network footprint, quality methodology, technical integrations, member experience, and industry knowledge for Commercial teams and clients.
- Support growth and retention by providing expertise throughout the sales and renewal process, including evaluating solutions and ensuring thorough discovery.
- Bridge to the rest of the organization, bringing together internal stakeholders and playing a key role in presentations, product demonstrations, and RFPs.
- Work internally to solution complex and non-standard prospective client requirements across Product, Network, Analytics, Implementation, Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Client Success, and Clinical teams.
- Serve as a bridge between the sales process and ongoing Client Success to ensure proposal commitments are identified and delivered.
- Understand and answer custom RFP questions and follow-up inquiries to create standard responses.
- Share learnings and themes from the field with cross-functional leadership for broader adoption into product packaging and go-to-market processes.
What We're Looking For
- 10–15 years of professional experience in consulting and/or a customer-facing role in health and benefits or similar experience as a Solutions Consultant or Architect in digital health and benefits.
- Robust strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills; solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently convey complex information to a broad audience.
- Strong analytical experience working with and visualizing data.
- A clear understanding of the mechanics of self-funded medical plans and the relationships between health plans/TPAs, healthcare providers, and plan sponsors.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-changing environment; organized, adaptable, diligent, and self-motivated.
- Passion for Lantern’s mission and collaborating with others.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with medical claims data to project savings and program impact.
- Knowledge of the broader ecosystem of point solutions and healthcare disruptors selling to self-funded employers.
- Experience in delivering engaging and impactful product demos while articulating value for all stakeholders.
- Comfort solutioning and designing non-standard employer requests by considering internal and external perspectives and collaborating across stakeholders.
- Excels at working cross-functionally and can effectively influence decision-making.
- Ability to adopt a continuous improvement mindset and actively contribute to the processes and procedures of the larger Commercial team.
- Experience in an early or growth-stage business.
