The Vice President of Marketing and Development will lead marketing, communications, public relations, and fundraising initiatives for Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA and Helms College. This executive will ensure all activities align with the organization’s mission to eliminate poverty through education and career development using a faith-based social enterprise model.
Responsibilities
- Direct marketing, communications, and public relations, both internal and external
- Provide overall leadership for fundraising/development programs
- Support Goodwill’s long range strategic plan
- Establish annual business plans and annual fundraising budget to include capital campaigns, annual campaigns, planned giving, major gifts and grants
- Implement $20 million Helms College comprehensive campaign with individual capital campaigns in four communities within GIMG territory
- Support branch fund replication fund to grow Helms worldwide in partnership with other autonomous Goodwill organizations
- Be principle partner with campaign counsel as directed by the President
- Build relationships with key stakeholders such as corporations, elected officials, non-profit organizations, foundations and citizens of territory
- Actively participate in the solicitation of donations, major gifts and grants
- Provide regular fundraising and budget reports to Goodwill’s President/CEO and the Goodwill Works Foundation Board of Directors
- Help create philanthropic culture with Goodwill Board members and employees and Helms College students
- Develop vibrant storytelling alumni association for Helms College
