What You'll Do
As the leader of marketing and development, you will drive integrated strategies that elevate the organization’s mission and expand its impact. You will oversee all aspects of marketing, communications, public relations, and fundraising, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
You will lead the execution of a $20 million comprehensive campaign, including capital initiatives across four communities and the expansion of a global training model through regional replication. This includes managing donor cultivation, major gift acquisition, grant writing, planned giving, and annual campaigns.
You will design and manage high-impact events that raise awareness and support, such as regional galas, community outreach programs, and mission-focused gatherings. You will also build a dynamic alumni network for Helms College to strengthen storytelling and engagement.
In collaboration with leadership, you will position the organization’s president as a key public voice, amplifying outreach through media relations, public appearances, and consistent messaging. You will ensure brand integrity across all platforms and business lines, guiding both internal and external communications teams and agencies.
You will develop and enforce foundation policies, including gift acceptance and investment guidelines, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. You will also lead volunteer engagement and faith-based outreach, fostering deeper community investment.
Requirements
Candidates must be personally inspired by a faith-based social enterprise model dedicated to ending poverty through education and career advancement. You should have a proven record in strategic fundraising, campaign leadership, and brand development within complex, mission-oriented organizations.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, external agencies, and diverse stakeholder groups—including foundations, elected officials, and nonprofit partners—is essential. You must be skilled in crafting compelling narratives that connect mission to action, and capable of translating vision into measurable results.
