Zoetis US LLC is hiring a Veterinary Specialist - Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon to play a pivotal role in educating veterinary professionals. You will focus on the disease state, diagnosis, and management of osteoarthritis and pain. This highly collaborative, field-based position involves working closely with colleagues while advising business leadership on products and future pipeline developments.
What You'll Do
- Partner with field colleagues to deliver engaging educational and clinical presentations on diagnosis, treatment, and management of osteoarthritis and multimodal pain.
- Provide balanced, science-based product information to veterinarians centered on best medicine.
- Adapt your content and communication to meet the unique needs of each customer.
- Create innovative content, sharing your insights and experience to support and grow the Zoetis Pain Portfolio.
- Build a reputation as a trusted advisor to Zoetis colleagues, veterinary healthcare teams, KOLs, and corporate partners.
- Establish strong relationships with veterinary surgeons, anesthesiologists, rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, and behavior specialists in private practice, at colleges, and within professional organizations.
- Be active in professional organizations by serving on committees, boards, and commissions or as a speaker.
- Provide expert opinion on emerging treatment guidelines for integration into business strategy.
- Advise marketing teams on technical and clinical aspects of OA and pain management.
- Develop and deliver training programs for sales and technical colleagues.
- Mentor colleagues across business units, sharing your experience and insights.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all scientific and medical information relative to surgery, OA, and pain management.
What We're Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 60% of the time, including some weekends.
Nice to Have
- Board certification in surgery is preferred; board eligibility will be considered.
- 6-8 years of experience in clinical practice, academia, research, or industry is an advantage.

You will be part of the Veterinary Specialist Team within the US Veterinary Professional Services, Petcare division.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $140,000-$205,000.
