Bloomberg is hiring a contract Vertical Video Producer/Editor for its Opinion team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will be responsible for the full editorial process from pitching to post-production, creating content for social platforms and collaborating closely with a global team.

What You'll Do

Undertake the full editorial process from pitching and scripting to directing shoots and handling post-production work.
Collaborate daily with APAC editors and columnists on coverage needs.
Collaborate closely with the global Opinion video team in New York and London on pitches, edits, and day-to-day content planning.
Produce short-form videos for social platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Develop innovative ways of turning commentary into digestible content for social media through explainers, voiceovers, and data.
Collaborate with APAC columnists and editors on best social video practices.
Produce engaging live streams with columnists from an online broadcasting studio.
Create content targeted for social and digital platforms including video and graphics editing, as well as some written content.
Contribute as a live stream producer, coordinating regular audio and video webinars.

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years of video producing experience in news media.
At least 2 years of experience using mobile editing software like CapCut.
Experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and After Effects, and other graphics software including Canva.
A track record of shooting on mirrorless/DSLR cameras.
Experience in producing live webinars using software like StreamYard and Riverside to broadcast to Twitter, TikTok and YouTube.
A newsroom metabolism and ability to work within deadlines.
Strong editorial judgment across major news topics, particularly in business, finance and markets, technology and politics.
A willingness to become conversant with themes our APAC columnists cover.
Countless hours of engaging with and making content for major social platforms, like Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
