Bloomberg Opinion is hiring an Opinion Video Producer based in London. You'll join a global team, producing short-form and live video content from pitch to post-production. You'll collaborate closely with columnists and editors to turn expert commentary into engaging content for Bloomberg's core audience and new viewers on social platforms.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with the global Opinion video team in New York and Hong Kong on pitches, edits, and day-to-day content planning
- Produce short-form videos combining video editing and shooting skills with columnist expertise for platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Develop innovative ways of turning commentary into digestible, inviting content for social media through explainers, voiceovers, and data
- Collaborate with EMEA columnists and editors on best social video practices
- Produce engaging live streams with columnists from an online broadcasting studio
- Create content targeted for social and digital platforms including video and graphics editing, as well as some written content
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of video producing experience in news media
- At least 2 years of experience using mobile editing software like CapCut
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and After Effects, and other graphics software including Canva
- A track record of shooting on mirrorless/DSLR cameras
- Experience producing live webinars using software like StreamYard and Riverside to broadcast to Twitter, TikTok and YouTube

- A newsroom metabolism and ability to work within deadlines
- Strong editorial judgment across major news topics, particularly in business, finance and markets, technology and politics – and a willingness to become conversant with themes our EMEA columnists cover
- Countless hours of engaging with and making content for major social platforms, like Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
