Role Overview
The Venue IT Representative delivers hands-on technical support at a live event venue during the operational season, typically spanning from March to November. This part-time, seasonal position plays a key role in maintaining the reliability of IT systems before and during events, ensuring seamless operations for staff, production crews, and visiting artists.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate, on-site troubleshooting for venue administrative, operations, and production teams using Apple iOS, Windows, and network-connected devices
- Monitor, document, and assist in resolving recurring technical issues, escalating when necessary to remote IT teams
- Serve as the primary local contact for remote support teams and external service providers, facilitating access and coordination
- Support tour production requirements by setting up internet connectivity and fulfilling technical rider specifications for performing artists
- Conduct pre-event system checks to confirm all point of sale and access control systems are fully functional before event start
- Assist in deploying, tracking, and maintaining IT equipment such as POS terminals and network hardware
- Support seasonal setup, system validation, and winterization of venue IT infrastructure
- Help extend or modify existing IT systems to accommodate festivals and private events
Qualifications
Required
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a collaborative team member
- Adaptability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with frequent changes in schedule or priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during event periods
- Consistent availability to support events throughout the season
- Willingness to adjust shifts as needed to meet operational demands

Work Environment
