Vention is hiring a Senior Design Engineer - Robotics to provide technical oversight for automation projects in the EMEA region. Reporting to the Manager, Application Engineering EMEA, you will be instrumental in building regional standards and ensuring customer success, which includes travel to client sites for up to 25% of your time.
What You'll Do
- Drive technical conversations with sales representatives and customers to identify optimal automation solutions.
- Help qualify projects and support the sales team with feasibility assessments.
- Mentor Application Engineers to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
- Review Application Engineers’ machine designs, automation system diagrams, and logic workflows.
- Collaborate with Enablement teams to secure customer satisfaction and with HQ teams like Product Management to share regional needs.
- Coach and support application engineers through design reviews.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automation field, such as within a System Integrator, with broad exposure to industrial automation applications.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Professional proficiency in both German and English.
- Experience where peers look to you for mentorship and technical support.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of another major European language.
