JOB SUMMARY: Safely operates industrial vacuum trucks and related equipment to perform environmental cleaning, waste removal, and material transport activities. Supports routine and emergency response operations while adhering to company, state, and federal safety regulations. Works under direct supervision and is expected to follow established procedures and training. JOB DUTIES: - Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment for industrial cleaning, tank cleaning, spill cleanup, and material removal. - Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of hoses, pumps, and tools needed for each job. - Load, transport, and unload liquid and solid waste materials in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. - Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any defects or maintenance needs. - Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and service documentation. - Follow all safety protocols, including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). - Support crew members during field operations, including confined space entry, high-pressure washing, or site cleanup. - Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles, equipment, and work area. - Participate in training and safety meetings as required. - Perform other duties as assigned. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: - Travel may be required to various work sites or locations as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION: - High school diploma or equivalent required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Previous experience in vac truck operation or similar equipment. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, OR TRAINING: - Valid Commercial Driver’s License required (Class B at minimum). REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation - Understanding of safety practices and PPE requirements - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Ability to perform physical labor - Dependability and punctuality - Ability to maintain required documentation - Willingness to learn PREFERRED EDUCATION: - Post-secondary vocational or technical coursework preferred. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Experience in a comparable industry or environment preferred. PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, OR TRAINING: - OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Ability to learn and adapt quickly - Problem-solving skills - Good time management and organizational skills - Basic mechanical aptitude PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS: - Lift to 50 lbs regularly - Stand, walk, climb, or work in confined spaces for extended periods. - Work in varied weather and environmental conditions - Industrial, construction, and outdoor job sites. - Exposure to loud noise, chemicals, waste materials, and high-traffic areas.
