Affirm Data is looking for a US Accountant to join our expanding finance team. In this role, you will manage financial records for multiple clients, ensure compliance with US accounting standards, and provide key insights into financial performance.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP.
- Process and review accounts payable and receivable.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure financial integrity.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support tax preparation and compliance activities.
- Communicate regularly with clients to address financial inquiries and discrepancies.
- Provide analytical insights regarding financial performance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a US-based environment.
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software, especially QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively.
- Reliable internet connectivity to support remote work.
Nice to Have
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with various accounting tools or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero).
- Familiarity with managing financial records for multiple clients.
