About the Role

Grand Canyon Education is looking for a University Admissions Counselor to represent Grand Canyon University’s Traditional Ground Campus. You will be the face of the university in the Sioux Falls, SD territory, driving community engagement and guiding prospective students toward a successful campus experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build awareness of academic programs and campus community by hosting and implementing event and activity plans within your territory.
  • Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and families via in-person meetings, phone, email, text, and Zoom.
  • Connect with students, faculty, and staff at local community colleges and engage all major stakeholders in your area.
  • Maintain a full schedule of college fairs, school visits, presentations, community events, and campus tours.
  • Support prospective students and their families through the entire admissions process.
  • Promote Grand Canyon University's transformation and serve as its primary representative in your assigned territory.

What We're Looking For

  • Must live in or near Sioux Falls, SD.
  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • No delinquent or default status on a federal student loan; if in a rehabilitation program, must be current on payments.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Clear communication and engaging presentation skills across in-person, written, and phone mediums.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
  • High emotional intelligence and a demonstrated ability to show empathy.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and willingness to travel.
  • A clean driving record and ability to use your personal vehicle for extensive travel within the territory.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Relevant industry-related professional experience.
  • Experience working with CRM tools.

  • Compensation: Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based plan to increase earning potential after each year-long recruitment cycle.

Work Mode

This is a remote position where you will serve the Sioux Falls, SD territory. Extensive local travel within the territory is required.
