About the Role
The Unity Software Engineer will develop and maintain mobile games, focusing on gameplay systems, performance, and stability. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and product managers to deliver engaging experiences to millions of players.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement gameplay systems using Unity
- Optimize game performance for mobile platforms
- Collaborate with designers and artists to bring features to life
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs across multiple devices
- Contribute to technical design documentation
- Integrate analytics and backend services
- Support live operations and post-launch updates
- Work within agile development cycles
- Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews
- Improve development tools and workflows
- Maintain compatibility across various mobile devices
- Implement visual effects and gameplay mechanics
- Assist in prototyping new game concepts
- Monitor and reduce memory usage and loading times
- Collaborate with QA to resolve issues
- Follow best practices in software engineering
- Enhance user interface interactions
- Support cross-platform builds
- Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity DOTS or ECS
- Knowledge of AR or VR development in Unity
- Previous work in live-ops game environments
- Familiarity with Unity Addressables
- Experience with cloud-based backend services
