GeeksOnSite is looking for a Uniper Care Device Installer to join our team as a 1099 contractor. You will be responsible for installing and activating the Uniper Care set-top box in customers' homes, providing a complete onboarding experience.
What You'll Do
- Install the Uniper Care device and connect it to the user’s TV, typically via HDMI.
- Connect the device to the customer’s Wi-Fi network and test connectivity.
- Pair the remote control and test volume and input switching for ease of use.
- Create the user’s Uniper profile using their name, phone number, and location.
- Walk the client through how to use the device, including navigating the home screen, joining wellness classes or events, and making and receiving video calls.
- Ensure the client feels confident using the system and knows how to reach support if needed.
- Submit job completion and client confirmation via the company’s reporting process.
What We're Looking For
- Experience setting up home Wi-Fi and smart devices.
- Familiarity with TV input/output setups, HDMI connections, and AV basics.
- Comfortable guiding users through smartphone pairing or app-related steps.
- Ability to teach older adults in a kind, clear, and supportive way.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Prior experience in home tech support, IT setup, or smart device installation.
- Smartphone with camera for verification and reporting.
- Reliable transportation to visit client homes.
- Must pass a background check.
- English fluency.
- Professional, friendly, and trustworthy demeanor.
