About the Role

Beazley Management Limited is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to provide essential support to our underwriting team. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient underwriting processes and delivering high-quality service to clients and brokers.

What You'll Do

  • Support Underwriters in delivering an effective and efficient administration service.
  • Provide pre-underwriting and rating support to Underwriters and other staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry and scanning of risk documentation onto internal systems.
  • Perform data verification, integrity, and accuracy checks.
  • Handle photocopying, logging, scanning, filing, and archiving of quotes and declinatures.
  • Interact with other internal teams, such as Claims, Finance, and Compliance, on matters related to the portfolio.
  • Help maintain team standards by supporting other underwriting assistants.
  • Provide accurate management information and produce ad hoc reports and presentations for senior staff.
  • Deliver a professional service to brokers and external clients via all communication channels.
  • Attend client meetings as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within property underwriting operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Compensation: CAD 55,000-62,000 per year plus an attractive base compensation and discretionary performance-related bonus.
